project background
The site of Shenzhen Senior High School High School Park is located in Pingdi Street, Longgang District, Shenzhen. It was built in September 2022 and covers an area of about 200000 square meters. It has three public high schools, 162 teaching classes, and can provide 8100 school places. In the early stages of construction, the school regarded the network as the key to the intelligent foundation of the college, utilizing advanced technologies such as 5G, Internet of Things, and big data to integrate teaching, research, management, service, and resources in teaching management and campus management. It is committed to creating an intelligent learning environment for students.
For this reason, the leadership team of the college attaches great importance to the network construction of this project, and has contacted Rongxin Communication Solution Provider through multiple channels, and learned from it that Smart Optics has rich practical experience in related campus network construction. So, the school proactively contacted the Smart Optics team through online means.
Project requirements
The project aims to meet the following requirements during its implementation:
This network not only needs to achieve business interoperability between education systems, but also needs to be able to efficiently control resources.
With the continuous increase of subsequent teaching services, it is still necessary to provide high-speed network connections, achieving 10 gigabit data transmission in the computer room and gigabit desktop transmission.
Based on the above requirements, Smart Photonics has chosen an all-optical networking solution, which covers all campus scenarios through the construction of a single network, including the education network, campus network, and public area network. This comprehensive solution not only achieves unified control over the school network, but also provides an efficient and stable network environment for the school, providing integrated support for various work such as education, teaching, and campus management.
This network provides transmission bandwidth options of 10G/100G/200G, meeting the high bandwidth business needs of education and campus networks, while also carrying connections from 10G to campus intelligent terminal devices and 1G to desktops.
In the process of building this network, Smart Lite On utilized the advantage of full coverage of the operator's domain network to divide all lines connecting schools into VLANs and construct a separate education dedicated network. After completion, it can meet the needs of later campus network renovation and upgrading, as well as the increasing business demands.
Considering the vastness of the campus area and the need to consider transmission distance and interference during network construction, Smart Optics has chosen a passive PON network with fiber optic transmission distance greater than 20km for construction.
This physical architecture of P2MP adopts a point to multipoint approach, which can effectively ensure that the transmission process is not affected by electromagnetic interference. Through this network architecture, full scene access to the entire campus area is achieved.
In order to meet the network needs of different scenarios in the campus public area, Smart Optics has adopted customized solutions to achieve comprehensive wireless coverage within the campus.
For indoor low-density places where teachers and students are relatively concentrated in daily life and teaching, Smart Optical adopts a 10GPON optical ceiling AP, which can provide wireless coverage for most areas. This deployment method can ensure stable connections under high-density network requirements, achieving a wireless network experience with zero roaming and zero blind spots.
For outdoor areas on campus: Smart Optics has chosen the deployment method of fiber optic sinking, and through flexible arrangement of AP devices, ensures efficient wireless coverage on campus. This deployment method is not limited by transmission distance and can flexibly adapt to the coverage requirements of various scenarios.
For the outdoor main roads on campus, Smart Accent adopts an IP network combined with waterproof sound columns to ensure excellent sound quality and durability. This configuration not only simplifies the wiring and allows for flexible debugging of the terminal amplifier, but also takes into account future capacity expansion needs.
The linkage mechanism for campus safety: Smart Guangxun adopts a combination linkage system of SOS alarm columns, broadcast speakers, and outdoor monitoring. Through these measures, campus safety is fully protected.
Program value
For engineering companies, this networking solution can be designed according to different scenario requirements, achieving the goal of flexible adaptation to existing networks. In addition, it adopts gateway or side mounted deployment methods, effectively solving the problem of obstruction in the campus. This means that through such networking solutions, engineering companies can better meet customer needs and provide high-quality network solutions.
For the school authorities, this networking solution has successfully connected with the local education network, forming an educational ring network. This is beneficial for the school to share educational resources with the local education bureau, achieving resource sharing and interoperability. At the same time, the Education Bureau will deploy a main network controller within the campus to achieve unified management of the school's wireless network.
